Weekly Meeting

A wonderful program today by Jackie Lue Raia, Assistant Director, Resource Development of The NJ Sharing Network.

Jackie stressed the importance of being able to save lives by registering as an organ and tissue donor.

There are more than 120,000 people waiting for transplants in the U.S. including 5,000 here in N.J.

Sadly, N.J. ranks 44th in the nation in registered donors. 18 people die daily waiting for life saving transplants.

Weekly Meeting
November 4, 2015

Our special guest today was our District Governor, Hal Daume.

Governor Hal reminded us of “why we joined Rotary” and “why we stay Rotarians”.

In his visits to the District Clubs he has found that the most effective projects are the hands on, roll up your sleeves types.

They have the most long lasting effects both on the Rotarians and recipients.
